How we make money

Lead Paint Roster is free to use. Here is how it is, and will be, paid for, and the rules we hold ourselves to.

Today

• Nothing is for sale. Every listing is free and built from official public records.
• Listings are ordered by location and name. No one can pay to appear higher, to get a license badge, or to have a competitor removed.

Planned

• Featured placements, clearly labeled "Ad", shown alongside, never instead of, the full free list.
• Quote requests routed to certified inspectors near you, if we add them, will be free for property owners. Inspectors may pay a per-request fee; that will never change who is listed or the order of the free list.

Our rules

• Paid or not, every listing must match a current official record.
• Guides and cost pages are written independently of advertisers and cite their sources.
• If we ever earn a referral fee from a link, the link will say so.

Professionals: see claim or correct your listing.
